FALSE INFORMATION is circulating on social networks, email, and WhatsApp, using the name of UNICEF to offer aid, scholarships, or prizes. This is a SCAM.
UNICEF does not grant any type of monetary prize through any means, whether online or physical nor does it manage individual aid or scholarships. This attempted scam seeks to take advantage of people's trust.
If you or a family member receives an email in the name of UNICEF, but the email has a domain other than @unicef.org, it is a SCAM. UNICEF only sends emails using its official web domain.
We urge you to remain vigilant, avoid accessing any unofficial links or websites claiming to represent UNICEF, and not provide personal information on these sites.
If you have questions or detect any irregularity, you can verify the information on our official channels: @unicefvenezuela on all social networks, or report to the United Nations Contact Line: 0800 2426200 | 0424 7700048 | [email protected]. This mechanism is confidential.
