Highlights
This report was commissioned by the UNICEF Country Office in Venezuela, with the objective of gathering baseline data to assess compliance with the World Health Organization's standards 5.1 and 5.2, which refer to the quality of maternal and neonatal care provided in 46 health centers selected for intervention by UNICEF Venezuela.
The research was conducted by an independent consulting firm, Consultores 21, under the coordination of the Health and Nutrition section of UNICEF Venezuela.
Furthermore, it is important to acknowledge the health professionals from the Ministry of Popular Power for Health, as well as the mothers and caregivers, who made valuable contributions to this assessment.
