Since 2015, the Ugandan Government, with support from international partners, has been at the forefront of implementing two innovations to improve care for HIV-exposed infants and young children living with HIV. Some of the interventions include Point-of-Care testing for early infant diagnosis of HIV and new better-tasting paediatric treatments such as the 2-in-1 pellets.
Introduction of these innovations was made possible thanks to Unitaid's funding and support.
