UNICEF, together with World Health Organization (WHO) and partners supported an immunization campaign in Hasakeh, Ar-Raqqa and Deir-ez-Zor, aiming to protect 492,000 children aged 7 months to 6 years, against measles.

With thanks to the generous contribution of the Global Alliance of Vaccines and Immunization (Gavi), UNICEF supported the campaign with vaccines, cold chain equipment and syringes. Prior to the campaign, UNICEF-supported volunteers went door-to-door to inform parents about the dates of the campaign, talk to them about the importance and safety of vaccines and answer their questions. The campaign also reached displaced children living in tented tamps, including in Ein Issa, Mabrouka and Twehina. #Foreverychild
