Voices of Youth in Sudan's South Kordofan
Young people from across South Kordofan are working together towards a peaceful future
As part of ongoing efforts to support the Transitional Government of Sudan in peace-building, a three-day Youth Consultation Forum happened in Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan state. The consultations aimed to foster youth engagement through structured and meaningful participation in decision-making in humanitarian actions, peace-building initiatives and development. The consultations provide a much-needed platform for youth after years of divisive conflict facilitating their inclusion in decision-making and civic dialogue, in turn, their contribution to a peaceful and inclusive post-revolutionary Sudan. The South Kordofan State government is carrying out the consultations as a continuation of creating opportunities for dialogue between traditional and community leaders and youth who represented all walks of life including IDPs, ethnic and religious minorities.
