  • UNICEF reached over 2.3 million people with safe water in July, including through chlorination, water trucking, and infrastructure rehabilitation. A multisectoral cholera response—spanning health, WASH, nutrition, and SBC—is ongoing in hotspot areas like Tawila, North Darfur. Nutrition needs remain critical, with 80 per cent of surveyed Darfur localities above emergency thresholds. Mellit recorded 34.2 per cent GAM. El Fasher, Kadugli, and Dilling remain especially concerning. Over 54,000 children with SAM were treated in July.

  • Population movements are shifting, with 1.3 million returnees settling in central states amid fragile conditions, while localized displacement continues in conflict hotspots. UNICEF supports both groups with integrated services, including communal kitchens serving 88,000 people daily.

  • Education access is expanding, with 427 schools reopened in Aj Jazirah, achieving 100 per cent primary school reopening in the state. Nationwide, over 1.3 million children have been reached with learning support in 2025.
