UNICEF Somalia During the COVID-19 outbreak, UNICEF Somalia and World Food Programme (WFP) Somalia continue providing essential nutrition services to vulnerable Somali women and children. The invaluable support from the German Government through KfW has made this possible.

The COVID-19 outbreak also risks becoming a nutrition crisis, as overburdened healthcare systems, disrupted food systems and income loss threaten Somali children’s and women’s access to nutritious diets and essential nutrition services, including early detection and treatment of malnourished children.

To respond to the urgent needs of vulnerable Somali women and children, UNICEF Somalia and WFP Somalia continue providing essential nutrition services. The invaluable support from the German Government through KfW has made this possible.
