T his overview provides a clear framework for the necessary actions that will help end child marriage in Serbia and provide adequate protection and support to girls at risk of child marriage or those with the experience of child marriage and/or underage pregnancy. Through strategic, comprehensive and coordinated legal, health, social and educational interventions, Serbia can take concrete steps towards ending this harmful practice.
It is necessary to focus on improving access to health care services, education and opportunities for Roma children and young people, as well as for women, and on strengthening social policies, eliminating discrimination against this group and promoting its inclusion.
