The Friends of UNICEF Club

Members of the UNICEF Friends Club are united by the belief that every child deserves the opportunity for a happy childhood and the determination that we, as a community, have a duty to provide it for them.

Članove Kluba prijatelja UNICEF-a povezuje uverenje da svako dete zaslužuje priliku za srećno detinjstvo i rešenost da smo kao zajednica dužni da im to obezbedimo

The Friends of UNICEF Club is made up of dedicated individuals just like you, as well as representatives of the business sector, whose solidarity and generosity help create better conditions for children in Serbia.

Although most children in Serbia have access to health services, education and protection, there are a significant number of children living on the margins of society and these children are not given the same chances to reach their full potential.

🔵 During 2019, 106,000 children under the age of 18 lived in absolute poverty.

🔵 During 2019, 350,000 children under the age of 17 and 130,000 young people aged 18-24 were at risk of falling into poverty.

🔵 During 2019, 20% of children in Serbia under the age of 2 did not receive all the recommended vaccines.

🔵 45% of children aged 1 to 14 are exposed to violent discipline at home, and in Roma settlements this percentage is even higher (67%).

🔵 Only 11% of children from low-income homes go to kindergarten.
