This report highlights progress in improving nutrition for girls and women in South Asia through 19 case studies from 8 countries.

Part 1 focuses on delivering essential nutrition actions for adolescent girls: (1) fortified nutritious meals; (2) micronutrient supplementation and deworming; (3) nutrition and lifestyle education; (4) advertising, product labelling and taxation policies that reduce consumption of unhealthy foods; (5) nutrition screening and social safety net services for those at risk. Nine examples demonstrate how countries have implemented these actions.

Ten case studies show how these interventions are delivered across South Asia.
