Storytelling through contemporary dance
Children in Southern Leyte tell their stories of survival, resolve and inclusion.
In Barangay Mambajao, Maasin, Southern Leyte, UNICEF conducted a contemporary dance workshop for children in the community.
Under the mentorship of Rhosam Villareal Prudenciado Jr. and Nicole Romero of LikhaPH, children learned how to express themselves through the linear fluidity movement style for contemporary dance.
They have shown extraordinary resolve to cope with the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and recovering after Super Typhoon Odette.
Through dance, they hope to inspire and give hope to others who are coping with challenges.
