Young people show Mindanao in a new light
In Mindanao, UNICEF teamed up with Everywhere We Shoot to conduct a photography workshop for young people. Following prompts from mentors Ryan Vergara and Garovs Garrovillo, young people collated photos from their own perspective and point of view, curating them through an insightful discussion on why these photos were important to them. They then used these photos to tell their own stories in a creative and collaborative way, with the mentors editing the selections into a collage.
The result is a set of dynamic collages that reflect the energy, vitality and voices of these young people—and of Mindanao itself.
