Costed Action Plan to Eradicate Child Labour in Islamabad

A Roadmap for Child Protection in Islamabad Capital Territory

Highlights

The Costed Action Plan to Eradicate Child Labour in Islamabad Capital Territory sets out a comprehensive, three-year roadmap to protect children from economic exploitation. Developed with technical assistance from UNICEF and Oxford Policy Management (OPM), the plan focuses on six pillars: education, non-formal education, technical and vocational training, labour protection, child protection and social protection. It aims to reach over 62,500 children through education, skills development, stronger legal protections and support for vulnerable families. The ICT Council on Child Labour will lead coordination, monitor progress and drive implementation across institutions. The plan reinforces a collective commitment to ensuring every child can enjoy a safe childhood free from child labour.
