UNICEF Montenegro volunteers – young reporters are key spokespersons of the media literacy campaign “Let’s Choose What We Watch” implemented by UNICEF and Montenegro Agency for Electronic Media since 2018. The aim of the campaign is to promote media literacy among parents and children, to improve the quality of media reporting on child rights issues and to raise the quality of media programs for young people in Montenegro. Young reporters have been attending media literacy workshops since 2018. As a result, they have made blogs, vlogs, videos, media literacy song, interviews.. They have organized press conferences and events with celebrities. They have been speaking live for national media on children and media and are producing first TV news for youth in Montenegro according to the internationally known format Wadada News for Kids.
