UNICEF office in Montenegro, in cooperation with the government of Montenegro, is carrying out the initiative to protect children from online sexual exploitation and violence as part of the UNICEF global initiative to keep children safe from online sexual exploitation.

•Within this initiative, a survey with 9 to 17 year old children, their parents and schools representatives was conducted. The main aim of the survey was to obtain reliable data which will facilitate defining the programmes and policies of prevention and protection of children on the internet within all relevant systems.

•Data were collected through quantitative and qualitative research. Both quantitative and qualitative survey instruments were designed by the  London School of Economics and Political Science and the UNICEF Office of Research-Innocenti

•Quantitative and qualitative instruments were pre-tested and whenever it was needed they were adopted to the local context
