Home-visit nurses

Home-visit programmes, by providing early intervention, by supporting parents and families and by reaching out to everyone, particularly those most in need, are crucially important in ensuring that every child has the best start in life.

Following the assessment of the home-visit system conducted in 2017 with UNICEF’s support, the Ministry of Health decided to strengthen the capacities of home-visit nurses on early childhood development – the first training-of-trainers was delivered to a multidisciplinary group of professionals in 2018 and the training of nurses will be rolled out in 2019-2021.
