ICT EXPO 2023: MINDGOLIA
"ICT EXPO-2023", the largest event in the field of information and communication technologies.
The Information Communication and Technologies (ICT) Expo Mongolia, 2023, organized by Mongolian IT Park under the auspices of the Ministry of Digital Development and Information was held from 8 – 11 June 2023 in Ulaanbaatar Mongolia
Under the theme of MINDGOLIA, which includes the content of bringing the information and communication technology industry closer to the public as a catalyst for development, supporting intersectoral cooperation in the field of education and industry, introducing new technologies, and creating opportunities for start-up entrepreneurs to promote their advanced products and services and connect with investors. The ICT Expo 2023 commenced with the ICT Forum, followed by three-day exhibitions and shows where the public, and private, ICT companies, as well as ICT start-ups, showed cases of their innovative digital solutions and initiatives.
On 8th June, the ICT Forum provided an opportunity for more than 1000 national and international delegates to discuss present trends and future visions of digitalization, information, and technology in three parallel plenary sessions.
UNICEF Mongolia supported the organization of the plenary on digital transformation in education under the themes of “Content, Capacity and Connectivity”. UNICEF Mongolia joined these panels to share insights and views on digitalization in education in Mongolia as well as a new initiative on Digital Community Information workers to be soon introduced in Mongolia.
During the expo, UNICEF Mongolia showed cases of digital learning solutions in pre-primary and primary education such as interactive learning content, and audio lessons. Over 180, 000 children and adolescents, together with their parents and visitors fully enjoyed their playtime and interaction at UNICEF booths for 3 days.
The ICT forum and expo provided a good opportunity for UNICEF to engage with many partners, develop new partnerships, share existing content with the wider public, and strengthen UNICEF’s Unique role in digital learning spaces.
There had been more interactions and engagement with new partners in order to utilize UNICEF-developed digital learning content in diverse spaces and platforms.
