Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, nearly 800,000 people have fled from Ukraine to the Republic of Moldova. Currently, 116,000 refugees remain in the country, with almost half of them being children.

UNICEF works tirelessly to provide protection to vulnerable children and ensure their access to health, nutrition, water and sanitation, education, and social protection services, including by establishing Blue Dot centers - Support Centers for Children and Families.
