Personal assistance for children with disabilities 

Personalized assistance and care. 

  • Access to the service is obtained by submitting an application to the social worker in the community or the territorial social assistance structure at district/municipal level. 
  • Rights of the beneficiary: information, selection of the assistant, consultation, examination of complaints, dignity respected.

Maternity center for mothers and children affected by violence 

  • Support for mothers and children in difficult situations. 
  • Psychological support, legal assistance and career guidance. 
  • Maximum placement period: 12 months, with possible extension in exceptional cases.

Day centers for children at risk 

  • Centers created with the support of UNICEF in Chisinau for information, counseling and assistance in family disputes. 
  • Access to the center is done directly or through the Directorate for the Protection of Children's Rights.

Day center for children aged 4 months - 3 years 

  • Preventing separation from the family, facilitating reintegration and harmonious development of children. 
  • Providing optimal conditions for the parents' re-employment. 
  • The center provides adequate nutrition, life skills training and communication. 
  • Access to the Centre is by submitting an application to the territorial social assistance structures. 
  • The centres are located in mun. Chisinau, mun. Balti, rl Criuleni, rl Calarasi, rl Glodeni, rl Rezina.

 Assisted social housing for young people aged 16-21 

  • Safe temporary accommodation for young people aged 16-21. 
  • Skills development, educational and socio-professional support,

Professional parenting support 

  • Parenting and care in a substitute family environment. 
  • Foster care with monthly allowances. 
  • Period determined by time and guardianship authority.

  • Child-friendly spaces for activities while parents access information and benefits. 
  • Facilitators provide protection and assistance in case of emergency.

 Barnahus service - specialised assistance: 

  • The Barnahus service provides four types of specialized assistance to victims or witnesses of violence in situations of re-traumatisation. 
  • Protection without re-traumatisation for child victims or witnesses of violence.
