Every child has access to social protection in Moldova

The main types of benefits that Ukrainian refugees can receive: 

• One-time childbirth allowance in the amount of 20,000 lei - To apply for this assistance, you must contact the National Social Insurance House (Casa Națională de Asigurări Sociale).

This benefit can be applied for no later than one year after the birth of the child. 

• Monthly allowance for childcare from birth until the age of 2 in the amount of 1000 lei per month - To apply for this assistance, you must contact the National Social Insurance House (Casa Națională de Asigurări Sociale).

• Monthly allowance for childcare for two or more children born from the same pregnancy until they reach the age of 3 years, in the amount of 1500 lei per month additionally.

To apply for this assistance, you must contact the National Social Insurance House. Holding Temporary Protection status is mandatory.

• Social transport payments are available for both Ukrainian citizens and citizens of the Republic of Moldova.

To obtain this assistance, you must contact the social assistance subdivision within the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection in your district.
