About

This study explores how vaccine misinformation is encountered, interpreted and shared, and how it influences caregivers’ vaccination decisions. Drawing on interviews and focus groups with caregivers, healthcare workers, NGOs and religious leaders, the study highlights the roles of uncertainty, emotionally powerful personal stories, trust in health services and the quality of communication. It recommends proactive misinformation prevention, accessible and user-friendly information, and stronger communication support during healthcare consultations.
