Highlights

The Kudhinnaa Gaathun is a UNICEF Maldives programme designed to strengthen child-centered service delivery at the island level by bridging the gap between national policies and local-level implementation.

This report is a case study of the implementation of Kudhinnaa Gaathun activities in four selected islands, including Meedhoo in Raa Atoll, Felidhoo in Vaavu Atoll, Gan in Laamu Atoll and Fuvahmulah City where the initiative has been ongoing for two years. The purpose of the study is to document and capture the implementation of activities in these islands, good practices, lessons learnt, challenges and any potential models that can inform future programming, policy dialogue and scale up.
