January-June 2025 Progress Report
Learning Passport
Highlights
In 2025, UNICEFs Learning Passport continues to evolve as a transformative digital education programme, empowering children, young people, teachers and educators with the learning, skills and training to thrive. Its greatest strength lies in its flexibility and adaptability – meeting learners where they are, whether in public schools, community centres, safe spaces, refugee camps, offline environments or at home on personal devices.
In the first half of 2025, the Learning Passport expanded to three new countries – Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Dominican Republic and Lesotho. The programme is now active in 48 countries, with a total of 11.03 million registered users including children, young people and teachers. Beyond the numbers, the heart of the programme lies in the stories of the learners who bring it to life- in this report we are spotlighting 7 powerful voices and experiences from across our regions.
