BUENOS AIRES, October 5, 2022.– From today until October 26, Disney and UNICEF presents “PIXAR RESTÓ. Exciting experiences”, a campaign to support UNICEF to promote healthy eating and the well-being of children and teenagers in Argentina and Mexico, through a gastronomic proposal for the whole family.

The initiative invites the public to contribute to UNICEF's children's programs, through a donation on its official site (help.unicef.org/disney). Donors will have access to an exclusive Master class starting October 27, hosted by Mexican actress and singer Danna Paola and the renowned Argentine chef Tomás Kalika. In this special pre-recorded class, they will prepare exquisite and healthy recipes, inspired by three Disney and Pixar films: COCO, LUCA and RED, and share tips for cooking nutritious dishes and leading healthier lives.

In turn, those who have donated to UNICEF from this campaign in Argentina and Mexico will also have the opportunity to gain access to an exclusive virtual Meet & Greet with Danna Paola and Tomás Kalika on November 8. In addition, during the campaign families will also have the opportunity to access content that inspires them to prepare healthy recipes while enjoying their favorite Disney and Pixar stories, which are already available on the official Disney Latin America channel on YouTube  (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLe4ZuWFax2d82IyjXet6w75nkMyPz5JZ4

“This new campaign that we are carrying out today with UNICEF is part of our 360° initiative that we call #ViveMásSaludable, framed in Disney's sustained commitment to accompany families in promoting healthier lifestyles,” said Belén Urbaneja, VP of Corporate Social Responsibility, Brand Management and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, The Walt Disney Company Latin America. “The company's support to organizations such as UNICEF, which manage to positively impact the lives of children and young people through nutrition, contributes to build up our goal of using the strength of our entertainment to help healthy habits reach more people in the region,” concluded Urbaneja.

As Youssouf Abdel-Jelil, UNICEF's Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, notes, “We are extremely concerned that in Latin America and the Caribbean more than 10 million children younger than 5 years old suffer from some form of malnutrition, whether malnutrition or overweight[1] Balanced nutrition starts at home and is essential for every child to have a healthy development. We invite families to join this joint initiative of UNICEF and Disney, with which we want to create spaces for them to share the habit of healthy nutrition with their sons and daughters.”

“PIXAR RESTÓ. Exciting experiences” is part of a sustained collaboration between Disney and UNICEF to strengthen the physical and emotional well-being of children and young people, so they can live a fuller life and create the future they imagine reaching their dreams and potential.
