Learning Passport Jamaica is a digital and mobile educational platform that effectively operates in both online and offline formats, enabling/facilitating accessible learning for all. This innovative platform provides a gateway to high-quality school content in alignment with the national curriculum, fostering flexible learning and helping improve students’ educational experiences.
Jointly developed by UNICEF Jamaica and the Ministry of Education and Youth, this platform primarily focuses on the development of essential literacy and math skills among primary school students. Additionally, the platform encompasses materials for cultivating civic skills, promoting fitness and health, delivering health and family life education, and advancing integrated studies.
In 2023, the platform was presented at the E-Learning Conference, an annual gathering that brings together the foremost educational authorities and teachers in the country.

The platform boasts a diverse range of resources in a variety or multimedia formats, these include: story read-alongs, video stories, interactive worksheets, games, songs, and integrated tasks combining asynchronous assignment and assessment activities.

The resources within Learning Passport empower students to complete tasks autonomously, enabling them to learn at their own pace and ona schedule that suits them.
The platform will also include content dedicated to helping parents and caregivers effectively engage and support their children while using the platform; offering valuable guidance to enhance/maximize/optimize the learner's educational experience.

Learning Passport Jamaica will provide educators with a range of tools and strategies to support both teaching and students’ learning and assessment.

Teachers will have access to lesson plans, interactive worksheets, activities, video lessons, story reading, videos, games, songs, quizzes, homework assignments, and assessment activities, as well as practical guidelines for engaging and interacting with their students.
UNICEF Jamaica is working in close collaboration with the language and mathematics directorates within the Ministry of Education and Youth to further strengthen the foundational literacy and numeracy skills of primary school students in grades 1-3.
This partnership takes a holistic approach to ed, including the review and enhancement of existing educational content, the updating of available resource formats, and the identification of new content providers. These efforts are aimed at closing content gaps and ensuring the availability of high-quality learning resources across the nation.
