Learn everything you need to know to get organized and fight for gender equality.
The Activist Suitcase is a toolkit designed to accompany or ganizations of activist girls and adolescents in the defense of their rights and support their participation in processes and advocacy for gender equality.
The Activist Suitcase, created by UNICEF in collaboration with Fundación Niñas Valientes, will accompany you on a journey of discovery. You will learn by travelling through four independent but interconnected stations.
How does one use the Activist Suitcase? You can read each of the stations in whichever order you prefer or select the content that you most need to explore at the moment.
We invite you to discover all the stations and carry the Activist Suitcase as your companion in the journey towards gender equality. Let’s embark on this adventure!

What do young women think?
“We don't know where to turn to when we want to know about an issue. Good decisions and therefore actions arise from knowledge, so this toolkit would be a very good tool”.
Valeria (16 years old, Mexico)
“It is important to have that alliance between us, as leaders, to articulate ourselves and when these campaigns happen we can support each other between leaders and organizations.”
Maria Fernanda (19 years old, Guatemala)
"We need tools to stay motivated when facing a highly patriarchal system."
Andrea (20 years old, Paraguay)
“Today there is a mentality that children have to be seen, but they are not being heard. Opinions are not taken into account. The fact that we are girls does not mean that we do not understand or do not know about the problems”.
Cynthia (18 years old, Jamaica)
