During a one-year partnership between USAID and UNICEF Office in Kosovo, UNICEF’s work was focused on the following prevention and response areas, where the needs were greatest.
- Strengthen risk communication and community engagement (RCCE), including age and gender-tailored psychosocial support messages and guidance for parents/caregivers.
- Strengthen infection prevention and control (IPC) and WASH in health facilities designated or likely to receive suspected cases of COVID-19 in high risk communities.
- Provide critical hygiene supplies.
- Support data collection and analysis to improve the overall COVID-19 emergency response.
