UNICEF Iran Representative met with the Secretary-General of the National Body on the CRC

Tehran, 1 December - UNICEF Iran Representative, Dr. Robin Nandy, met with Dr. Fattah Ahmadi, Deputy for Human Rights and International Affairs of the Ministry of Justice and Secretary-General of the National Body on the Convention of the Rights of the Child (NBCRC), on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. During this meeting, Dr. Nandy and Dr. Ahmadi discussed further strengthening of the two organizations’ partnership to promote children’s wellbeing. The NBCRC was established under the Ministry of Justice in January 2010 with a special mandate to monitor implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in Iran. Since then, UNICEF has partnered with the NBCRC on several successful programmes for children. As a follow-up to the meeting, the two sides pledged to continue and strengthen their collaboration on mutual areas of interest.
