Sub-Study on national response to policies and legislation
Highlights
In this research study on violence against and between children in (pre-trial) detention, the voice of 111 children was processed, including 38 children in pre-trial detention and 47 children in detention, through use of a self-completion questionnaire; 19 ex-detainee children through focus group sessions (FGS) and 7 ex-detainee children via in-depth interviews. Their opinion was supplemented with that of 7 adult service providers within the juvenile detention system.
