UNICEF Greece Country Office and the University of Patras invite academics, researchers, policymakers, child rights experts, and practitioners to submit abstracts for the International Conference on the Role of Academia in Promoting Child Rights, taking place on June 6-7, 2025, in Patras, Greece.

The conference will explore the pivotal role of academia in advancing child rights through research, education, and advocacy, and will provide a platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange between universities, policymakers, and child rights organizations globally.

Abstract Submission Deadline: April 13, 2025

Notification of Acceptance: April 17, 2025

Full Paper Submission Deadline: May 19, 2025

  • Experiences and strategies for the promotion of child rights
  • Experiences and strategies for the generation of knowledge/ research on children
  • Experiences and strategies for teaching and integrating child rights into university and academic institutions curricula
  • The theoretical and conceptual framework on the role of Academia in child rights education and promotion

Submission Guidelines:

  • Access the Abstract Submission Form HERE
  • Abstracts should be 250-300 words
  • Highlight the relevance to one or more of the defined focus areas
  • Provide key findings, methodologies, and implications
