This study was commissioned by the UNICEF Regional Office for South Asia (ROSA). The study on ‘Early Literacy and Multilingual Education in Asia: Challenges and Prospects’ was undertaken with the objective of developing guidance around appropriate policies and strategies for teaching and learning of early language and literacy and multilingual education in the varied language contexts in South Asian countries.
