Primary Education Sector Public Expenditure Tracking Survey in Madagascar
This report presents findings of a public expenditure tracking survey (PETS) in the primary education sector conducted by the Government of Madagascar with support from UNICEF and other development partners. The PETS covers fiscal years 2018 and 2019. The main objective of the PETS was to assess if public resources are reaching intended beneficiaries at the right time and in the right quantities. It also investigated challenges in the flow of funds and other materials from the national level to schools. The report concludes by making recommendations on how the Ministry of Education can improve the quality of spending on education in Madagascar.
