Review of Education Management Information Systems (EMIS) that Track Individual Student Data
Highlights
To achieve equity in education and support the most marginalized children and adolescents in East Asia and Pacific region, it is imperative to collect, analyze and utilize quality information and data of each and every child so that we can develop tailored policies and programmes. It is more important than ever, during the current unprecedented crisis caused by the global pandemic of COVID19 which hits the vulnerable children hardest and widens the gaps and inequalities even further.
It is in this context that UNICEF is pleased to present a series of Reports on Education Management Information System that Track Individual Student Data.
The Regional Summary Report synthesizes key findings, conclusions and recommendations of the Reviews of Education Management Information Systems (EMIS) that Track Individual Student Data in Malaysia, Mongolia and Timor-Leste. It highlights major gaps in education policy and data related to EMIS and provides key recommendations for further work resulting from this review, international support to EMIS, and EMIS improvement at country level.
