Afghanistan’s education system faces unprecedented challenges. While access expanded over the past two decades, restrictive policies, chronic underinvestment and recurring humanitarian crises have reversed much of this progress and widened inequalities. Millions of children, particularly girls, remain excluded, while the overall quality and relevance of education continue to decline.
