About

Highlights
Viet Nam aims to achieve SDG 1 – No Poverty by 2030. Analyzing multidimensional child poverty using updated data is essential for monitoring poverty status and providing useful information for policymakers in designing child-related poverty reduction policies. Children are a vulnerable group and are strongly affected by poverty and deprivation in multiple dimensions. Deprivations in nutrition, education, access to sanitary toilets, and clean water negatively impact children's health and education throughout their lives. This study has two main objectives: to examine the trends in multidimensional child poverty during the period 2016–2020 and to estimate the multidimensional poverty rate based on child rights that constitute poverty.
