For a safer online space for Children and young People

Have you ever clicked on something online without thinking twice⁉️
A suspicious link. A strange message. A comment that made you want to react immediately.‼️
In today’s fast-moving digital world, everything happens at speed — we scroll quickly, click quickly, and respond quickly.
For children and young people, who use technology every day, the internet is a place to connect, express themselves, and explore. But it can also expose them to risks and negative experiences, including online scams, cyberbullying, and inappropriate content.
What if you slowed down for just a moment?
Just one second to think again, double-check, or choose a different response.
That brief pause could make all the difference.
Join the creative challenge “Pause to Protect”!
As part of the 2026 Month of Action for Children, UNICEF Viet Nam is launching the “Pause to Protect” Creative Challenge (submission deadline: 11:59 PM, 21 June 2026). The challenge encourages young people to reflect on how they interact online and help promote safer digital habits for everyone.
How to participate
Group
Young people aged 12–18 years old (born between 2008 and 2014), who are Vietnamese citizens currently living in Viet Nam.
- Creative Submission
Inspired by the Pause button, create one original visual piece (for example: a poster, photograph, illustration, comic strip, or similar format) that reflects your perspective on the message:
“Pause to Protect.”
Your submission could explore:
- A moment that made you stop and think while using the internet
- The value of being more mindful online, or pausing before clicking, posting, or sharing
- Ways that you and others can help create a safer online environment
- Any other interpretation inspired by the challenge theme
Be as creative as you like and share your authentic perspective.
Each participant may submit one entry only.
