Methodological Note and Analysis of Child Monetary Poverty for 2023

Highlights

UNICEF Tajikistan, as part of its child poverty measurement portfolio over the past three years, has worked closely with the World Bank, the National Council on Poverty and Middle Class Measurement, and the Agency on Statistics to revise the national poverty methodology, develop a methodological note on child poverty measurement, and analyse child poverty trends. In parallel, UNICEF Tajikistan has strengthened the capacity of its technical staff and policymakers, advocated for the inclusion of child-sensitive questions, and disseminated key findings through various platforms, including dedicated roundtables, DCC meetings, and sessions of the Poverty Council.
