Highlights

World Mental Health Day celebrated on 10th October, is an annual event which aims to raise awareness of mental health, combat the stigma that exists around mental illness and advocate for the right to good mental health.

This year's theme and call to action is, 'It's time to prioritise mental health in the Workplace’, a topic which the UNICEF South Sudan Child Protection Team has already embraced this year.

This case study documents the direct relationship between wellbeing and the risks to both quality of care for beneficiaries and the long-term effect for the workers and social care system, the protection team sought to proactively address.
