Highlights

Child-led and inclusive: 37 children from across Pakistan, representing diverse backgrounds, collaborated through the NCRC Child Advisory Panel (CAP) to simplify the Committee on the Rights of the Child’s Concluding Observations into child-friendly language.
Making children’s rights accessible: Working in small groups, CAP members simplified the document and incorporated visuals and graphics to make its recommendations easier for children to understand.
Priority areas for action: The child-friendly publication highlights key areas requiring immediate attention, including access to justice and remedies, data collection, civil and political rights, violence against children, and special protection measures.
Guided by children’s perspectives: With guidance from the NCRC and UNICEF, the initiative ensured accuracy while amplifying children’s voices and helping them understand the actions needed from the Government of Pakistan to uphold their rights.
