According to OECD PISA results from 2008 up until the 2015 assessments, Montenegrin pupils are lagging behind their peers in OECD countries by almost 1.5 school years. This clearly indicates the urgent need to improve the overall quality of education in order to enable children and adolescents to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for success in school and in the labour market.
