Since the crisis began in Syria in 2011, violence, displacement, and lack of access to essential services continue to obstruct children’s lives.

Inside Syria, nearly 90 per cent of the population live in poverty while the country is seeing the highest number of people in need of humanitarian support ever recorded. The number of children in need - more than 6.5 million – has increased by 7 per cent in the past year alone.

UNICEF Syria staff continues to work tirelessly for child rights and the wellbeing of every child. Meet Kinan and Hala!
