By assessing initiatives across five key dimensions—Innovation, Business Model, Scalability, Impact, and Risk—the framework ensures that only the most effective and sustainable solutions progress toward scale.
To streamline this process, the 5D Web Assessment provides a digital platform for innovation teams to evaluate and review their initiatives with ease. This system includes two key tools: the Submission Form, which enables UNICEF teams and external users to assess their projects against the 5D criteria and receive instant feedback, and the Review App, which allows UNICEF teams to analyze results and make data-driven decisions. Together, these tools enhance transparency, strengthen strategic decision-making, and support the scaling of innovative solutions that can create lasting change for children.
