Mental Health
Nobody is healthy until their body AND mind are healthy

We all know what having a ‘healthy body’ means: you are not sick, and your body functions the way it should.
But what about ‘mental health’?
Mental health means having a healthy mind. It’s equally important as having a healthy body at every stage of life, from childhood through adulthood. Nobody is healthy until their body AND mind are healthy.
Every child has the right to grow up in loving, nurturing and safe environments, with supportive relationships and access to quality mental health and psychosocial support.
When you are mentally healthy, you:
- Enjoy your life,
- Are able to handle stress,
- Are capable of making choices,
- You have pleasant contact with others,
- You can deal with setbacks.
Here are a few ideas for self-care:
- Call an old friend,
- Drink enough water,
- Go out to exercise ,
- Plant flowers and watch it grow,
- Don’t feel guilty for things that aren’t your fault,
- Speak up about things that matter to you, reflect on your personal strengths, as self-reflection is the secret ingredient to your mental health
