Highlights

We are pleased to share with you the UNICEF Guinea-Bissau Annual Report for 2024. This report highlights our collective efforts and achievements in advancing the rights and well-being of children, women, and youth in Guinea-Bissau over the past year.

Despite the challenges faced, we have made significant strides in areas such as healthcare, nutrition, water and sanitation, education, child protection, and social protection.   • Education: Enhancing early childhood education, scaling up radio distance education, and developing pathways for out-of-school children.
  • Child Protection: Increasing birth registration, preventing violence in schools, and supporting communities in abandoning harmful practices like FGM and child marriage.
  • Social Protection: Developing the National Social Protection Policy and improving public finance for children.
