Highlights

Ahead of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP28) and its Presidency focusing on youth skills and education, the poll conducted through the U-Report Greece platform focused on whether children and young people have the skills to cope with the impacts of climate change.

The poll was part of a global survey that collected the views of over 771,000 U-Reporters from 59 countries, and was U-Report's largest poll to date. These record numbers in youth participation are also the result of UNICEF's partnership with YOUNGO, the official network of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and COP28 Youth Climate Champions, to hear the thousands of voices of children and youth for a sustainable, just climate future.

422 U-Reporters from Greece participated in the poll. Most of the respondents (60%) were between 15-19 years old, while 16% belonged to the 20-24 age group. Girls participated most actively, representing more than half (65%) of the respondents. The region from which most participants came was Attica, followed by Central Macedonia, Thessaly and Peloponnese.
