Republic of Korea Provides $40 Million to UNICEF's Resilience for Children+ Partnership
The Government of the Republic of Korea has provided $40 million to support the second phase of UNICEF-Korea Resilience for Children+ partnership, helping deliver life-saving assistance and strengthen essential services for children and families affected by conflict, displacement and climate-related shocks across five humanitarian settings. The partnership supports programmes in Afghanistan, Chad, Myanmar, the State of Palestine (Gaza), and Syria.
Building on the success of Phase I (2025-2026), the partnership is expected to reach an estimated 4–5 million people through integrated investments in health and nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), education, and protection and inclusion. Phase II (2026-2027) combines immediate humanitarian action with longer-term efforts to strengthen community-based systems and resilience.
The Republic of Korea's contribution reflects its continued commitment to humanitarian action, global health, and multilateral cooperation in support of children affected by crisis. Across the five countries, the partnership will strengthen primary health care systems, improve access to safe water and sanitation, support learning opportunities for crisis-affected children, and expand child protection and psychosocial support services.

Phase II builds on the achievements of the first Resilience for Children+ partnership and reflects the shared commitment of UNICEF and the Republic of Korea to delivering both immediate humanitarian outcomes and longer-term improvements in resilience and child well-being.
