Lifelong competencies are crucial for individuals to effectively navigate the complexities of modern life, work, and society. These skills for m a comprehensive framework that supports continuous personal and professional development. The development of these competencies is deeply interconnected with formal, non-formal and informal education from early ages through life. 

With the support of the Government of France, UNICEF partnered with Child Rights Centers from state and private universities in seven regions to conduct a targeted study in Tbilisi, Telavi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Zugdidi, Gori, Akhaltsikhe, and Akhalkalaki. The study aimed to map skills and assess key lifelong learning competencies based on the European Commission’s recommendations for youth development and successful transitions in education, employment, and society in Georgia.
