About

"Children and Youth in Georgia" is a statistical publication prepared by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) with the financial and technical support of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and mainly includes data for 2015-2019 on the demographic situation, living standards, employment, education, healthcare, violations, tourism, information technology and other important indicators of the population under 25. It also presents the results of the 2014 population census by relevant age groups as well as the results of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey –  MICS Georgia 2018, conducted by Geostat in 2018-2019 in close cooperation with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC).

The data presented in the publication are based on the results of surveys conducted by Geostat and on administrative sources. 


The present publication is intended for different groups of users and aims to raise awareness of the public interested in youth issues and assist them in the decision-making process.


Recommendations and suggestions on the format and content of the publication will be appreciated by the group of authors.
