About

The decisions made by the European Union (EU) – through its legislation, policies, practices, and financing – have a profound impact on every aspect of children’s lives, both inside and outside the EU. With its unique social model and as the largest donor of international aid, alongside its Member States, the EU has played a key role in establishing new global standards for children’s rights.

The next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) for 2028-2034 presents a critical opportunity to translate the EU’s commitment to child rights by committing its available resources to the best possible extent. This is essential not only for their futures but also for the future of Europe as a whole. This pivotal moment offers a chance to drive meaningful change, ensuring that the needs and rights of children are central to EU policies and actions both within its borders and globally.
