Implementation briefs on adolescent HIV, SRHR and wellbeing

Practical, evidence-based resources to strengthen integrated, youth-responsive programming in Eastern and Southern Africa

Developed under the 2gether 4 SRHR initiative, these implementation briefs were jointly developed by UNICEF and UNFPA and bring together evidence and programmatic experience to support countries in strengthening integrated HIV, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and wellbeing outcomes for adolescents and young people in Eastern and Southern Africa.

The briefs provide practical, evidence-based insights across priority thematic areas, including gender-based violence, HIV testing, service delivery beyond health facilities, mental health and psychosocial support, and substance use. Highlighting what works to better reach and support young people.

Designed for a wide range of stakeholders, they offer actionable approaches to design, adapt and scale youth-responsive programmes, strengthen multi-sectoral service delivery, and inform evidence-based advocacy, policy dialogue and programming.
